Shipped artifacts and the lab I use so the systems work stays real. I use AI to scaffold; I test and own the result.
AIDE_OS / Practice
Resettable Linux practice environments and session structure for fundamentals and LFCS-style work — sandboxes, progress files, and written sessions. This is how the systems side stays honest.
Local lab trees also live on my workstation. Public write-ups and READMEs are linked from GitHub as they ship.
Premises lab
Redacted spec sheets for the home lab: VyOS edge, lab LAN vs home LAN, Ubuntu fleet, dual Tailscale tenancy, no inbound WAN ports. Written so a reviewer can see how the network is actually laid out.
SSH + UFW + Tailscale bootstrap
First-hour Ubuntu pattern: OpenSSH, firewall, Tailscale. Auth keys stay out of the repo. Portfolio script, not a product.
Nextcloud Hub installer
Debian/Ubuntu installer script for a Nextcloud hub. Portfolio piece for private file/setup work — the same “make it yours” problem as a family or shop that does not want everything in someone else’s cloud.
For homes and shops
If the Wi-Fi drops in the back room, the printer will not print, or nobody wants to touch “that box,” this is the shelf for you. Okanogan County houses, shops, churches, and small offices — plain work, written notes when we are done.
Wi-Fi and the network
Starlink, mesh Wi-Fi, dead spots, and the office that dies when someone starts a call. Map what you already have. Make it boring and dependable.
Keep traffic in its lane
Separate household devices from guest, IoT, and lab traffic so everyday use stays predictable — the same habit as a calm home network and a work network under one roof.
The everyday stuff people avoid
Logins, printers, backups, the box everyone is afraid to touch. Appointment-style, on your equipment when we can.
Keep it on your gear
Files and setups that stay on your own equipment instead of disappearing into a subscription you cannot leave. You should be able to open the result without me in the room.
Local stories stay private
I don’t publish customer names or private details here. When a job can be shared without identifying anyone, a short before / what I did / after note will appear on this page.
